The Orofino city council has terminated it’s fire chief.
Councilors met in executive session following an investigation into a reported policy violation by Fire Chief Jonathan Hoyt.
Hoyt had been with the fire department since January 2019.
Bart Jones will serve as interim fire chief for the department until a replacement is determined. Officials say the chief’s position will be posted in the near future. (Clearwater Tribune)
