The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office will host a free boating safety course on March 12th in their training room at 1150 Wall Street in Lewiston. The course will run from 9 am to 3 pm on that Saturday.
Boaters, regardless of experience, are encouraged to take the course to learn about state boating laws and pick up various safety tips. Many families take the course together so both kids and adults can operate their boat. Bear in mind some insurance companies even offer a discount to boat owners who successfully complete the ‘Boat Idaho’ safety course. You can check with your insurance agent about eligibility.
