Sophomore Callie Stevens scored 26 points and the 22ndd ranked Lewis-Clark State women’s basketball team tied a program record with 19 made 3-point field goals in a 92-to-40 rout of Walla Walla University last (Tue) night at home.
Sophomore Maddie Holm added 14 points and 9 rebounds and three other players also scored in double figures as the Warriors improved to 21-and-3 on the year and remained in a first place tie in the Cascade Conference standings.
Meanwhile, the LC men were led by their defense and balanced scoring attack in knocking off the Walla Walla men 74-to-61. Freshman Silas Bennion led the Warriors with 19 points, 6 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Freshman Oreon Courtney added 15 points and senior Al Sommerfield chipped in with 14 as LC improved to 17-and-9 overall and 10-and-8 in league play.
Both Warrior teams are on the road for Cascade Conference games at Bushnell in Eugene Friday night and at Corban in Salem Saturday afternoon.
