According to Lewiston Public Works, the 21st Street & 19th Avenue Intersection Improvement Project will kick off next week.
This work will consist of installing safety improvements including widening the eastbound leg of 19th Avenue, widening the northbound leg of 21st Street, reconfiguring the westbound leg of 19th Avenue, improving signal phasing and timing, advanced video detection, and constructing ADA compliant pedestrian crossings. Work is scheduled to start on Monday and will continue through the end of April of this year.
Pedestrian and vehicle mobility will be impacted by intermittent lane closures and pedestrian detours. Hours of operation for the project will generally be between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
