The victim of last month’s hit-and-run near Lewiston’s Locomotive Park has died.
66-year-old Lewiston resident Duane Schmidt was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street at around 5:20 p.m. December 23rd after viewing the Winter Spirit lighting display.
Based on crash debris from the driver’s side headlight found at the scene, police have determined the suspect vehicle may be a 2006 Dodge pickup truck with aftermarket headlights.
The case remains open and anyone with information is asked to contact Lewiston Police at (208) 746-0171.
