Clarkston city councilors have voted fellow councilor Skate Pierce as Mayor Pro Tem.
Pierce has previously served in the role, which allows him to lead meetings and conduct city business when the mayor is unavailable.
Fellow councilors John Murray, Russ Evans, and Pat Holman were sworn in after being re-elected in November. Councilor Robin Albers was out of town and will take the oath of office at a future date.
In city business, the council approved the purchase of a new sanitation truck for about $196,000, plus taxes. (Lewiston Tribune)
