Governor Little highlights tax relief, education in State of the State

Idaho Governor Brad Little gave his State of the State address this afternoon in Boise, in which he touted the state’s budget surplus and economy. Little also announced his Leading Idaho plan for an even bigger surplus, as well as the goal of $600 million in tax relief.

Little also took aim at the Biden Administration’s vaccine mandates as well as their supposed inaction at the U.S./Mexico border when it comes to drug trafficking. The governor went on to reveal a plan of his own for dealing with drugs in Idaho.

Little also made education a big focus, with the goal of making the largest investment ever in Idaho education – more than $1.1 billion over the next five years.

Along with literacy, Little will invest in teacher pay and grants for resources outside the classroom, such as computers, tutoring and internet connectivity. To view the State of the State address, scroll below.
