Lewiston Mayor-elect and Idaho State Senator Dan Johnson has named Leland farmer Robert Blair as his substitute during the upcoming Idaho Legislative session in Boise.

Johnson had originally planned to balance both duties, but the opening day of the legislative session, January 10th, is the same day he, and the new Lewiston City Council are to be sworn in to office.
Blair was one of the three finalists chosen by the 6th Legislative District Republican Central Committee in May to replace former Lewiston Representative Aaron von Ehlinger.
Johnson says he had Blair down on his list of potential substitutes before the 2021 session even began.
