Two north Idaho men were arrested in Colfax Thursday for possession of drugs.
According to the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, 62-year-old Ronald Beidler and 51-year-old Travis Peterson, both of Coeur d’Alene, were arrested for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in downtown Colfax.
Deputies obtained information about the driver and passenger, which led them to believe illegal narcotics were in the vehicle. After obtaining a search warrant the deputies allegedly found 22 grams of meth and 70 fentanyl tablets.
It’s the third traffic stop by deputies in the past week where a substantial quantity of narcotics, specifically fentanyl tablets meant for distribution in the area, have been located and seized. (Whitman County Sheriff’s Office)
