Jake Dickert has been named the new head football coach at Washington State University.
According to the university, the former WSU defensive coordinator will receive a 5-year contract.

Dickert has spent the past six weeks serving as the Cougar’s interim coach, after the firing of Nick Rolovich. Dickert has led Wazzu to a 3-2 record with wins over Arizona State, Arizona and most recently, a dominating 40-13 Apple Cup victory in Seattle. The win snapped a seven-game skid to Washington and was Washington State’s largest margin of victory in series history.
The Cougars are bowl eligible and should learn soon what bowl game they will play in and who their opponent will be.
