Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden has officially announced his decision to retain his job.

Wasden, who was elected to the position in 2002, is the longest serving Attorney General in state history. He first joined the Office of the Attorney General in 1989, when he served as the deputy AG assigned to the Idaho State Tax Commission. Before that, he served as a prosecutor in Canyon and Owyhee counties.

Wasden joins former Idaho U.S. Congressman Raul Labrador and Coeur d’Alene attorney Art Macomber in the race for Idaho’s top law enforcement official.
