Sophomore quarterback Ty Koepp accounted for all four touchdowns in leading the Kendrick Tigers to a 30 – to – 24 win over Carey in the Idaho State 1-A Division II Football Championship game Saturday at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow.
Koepp passed for 153 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 33 yards and two more scores. Freshman running back Sawyer Hewett added 101 yards on 15 carries.
It’s the fourth state football title for Kendrick and the program’s first since 2001.
