Regional health officials reported 5 more coronavirus deaths Friday, bringing the number of virus-related fatalities to 31 for the month of October.
Two deaths were in Latah County; there was one in Lewis County; and Whitman County reported two COVID deaths.
Health officials say the number of new infections is trending down. The 8 county region of north central Idaho and southeastern Washington reported a combined total of 40 new coronavirus infections on Friday. (Lewiston Tribune)
