Washington Governor Jay Inslee called on Idaho leaders to do more to help stop the spread of COVID-19 as more and more unvaccinated Idaho patients fill Washington hospitals.

In an appearance on MSNBC, Inlsee said Washington citizens in many cases cannot get needed surgeries because Evergreen State hospitals are having to take too many unvaccinated people, many of whom come from Idaho.

Inslee called on Idaho leaders and Republicans in other states to lead and take some commonsense measures to slow the spread of the virus and alleviate the strain on hospitals.

Inslee, a Democrat, has instituted mask mandates in certain situations and vaccine mandates for certain public employees. Republican Idaho Gov. Brad Little hasn’t issued any such orders in the Gem State. (Lewiston Tribune)
