Virus infections continue to rise regionally

Regional health officials reported a combined 243 new coronavirus cases on Friday.

In north central Idaho: Nez Perce county had the highest number of new infections with 109; Latah County had 54 new cases; Idaho County’s numbers rose by 11; Clearwater County added 5 new infections; and Lewis County reported 6 new COVID-19 cases Friday.

In southeastern Washington: Whitman County saw it’s number of infections climb by 36; and Asotin and Garfield counties added a combined 22 new virus infections.

There were no COVID-related deaths reported in the region Friday.

Weekend virus infections numbers will be released sometime later today (Mon).
