Clearwater River Casino cancels events due to COVID

The Clearwater River Casino has canceled two upcoming events due to the rising numbers of coronavirus cases in the region.

A concert, featuring rap artist Tyga set for October 2nd, and the Casino Pow-Wow planned for October 15th – through – 17th, have both been scrapped.

Beginning tomorrow (Sat), the casino box office will begin issuing cash refunds for concert tickets purchased at the casino. Concertgoers will need to bring in purchased tickets for a full ticket refund. For those tickets purchased online at TicketsWest.com, purchasers will be issued a refund to their credit or debit card directly by TicketsWest.

Meanwhile, regional health officials reported 3 more COVID-related deaths and a combined 144 new virus infections Thursday.

In north central Idaho: Nez Perce County had the highest number of new cases with 45, along with one death; Latah County’s number of infections rose by 29; Clearwater County had 16 new cases, and two virus-related deaths; Idaho County added 4 more cases; and Lewis County reported 3 new coronavirus infections.

In southeastern Washington: Whitman County saw it’s number of cases rise by 30; and Asotin County reported 17 new COVID-19 infections Thursday.  (Lewiston Tribune)
