The LC Valley Youth Resource Center has been helping local teens for a year now, and the organization got a pretty great first birthday present: They’re now officially debt-free. It’s all thanks to a generous donation from Idaho Housing and Finance. Brady Ellis, Idaho Housing’s V.P. of Housing Support Programs, revealed what the donation went towards.

Michelle King, Executive Director of the youth center, said the donation now frees them up to use all donations and resources to help local youth. King also listed some achievements the center has made during their first year.

Ellis also said in addition to the $375,000 to pay off the loan on the center’s property, Idaho Housing has secured $100,000 in federal grant money to support the shelter with its next year of operations. King says the center always needs help from the community; you can give to their Fall Milk Money fundraiser by CLICKING HERE.
