
A Lewiston man has been hospitalized following a two vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Clearwater County.
According to Idaho State Police, troopers responded to the crash just after 1 p.m. on Idaho State Highway 7 at milepost 38 in Clearwater County.
22-year-old Luke Schwartz of Ferdinand was driving northbound in a 1998 Dodge Dakota, when he cut through a blind corner into the oncoming lane of travel when he struck the 2002 KTM motorcyle driven by 67-year-old Thomas Denham of Lewiston.
Schwartz was wearing his seatbelt and reportedly didn’t require medical attention. Denham, who was wearing a helmet and protective riding gear, was injured and transported to Clearwater Valley Hospital before being transferred to Sacred Heart Medical in Spokane. His condition has not been released.
The highway was partially blocked for about 4 hours and the investigation is ongoing. (Idaho State Police)
