Governor Little: Best way to have a normal school year is to get vaccinated

Idaho Governor Brad Little held a press conference concerning the Covid-19 pandemic from Nampa High School this afternoon. With cases rising and school starting next week in the state, Little says his priority is keeping kids in classrooms.

Behind the governor was a poster board displaying some grim statistics: In Idaho, roughly 98% of all coronavirus cases, hospitalizations and deaths since January 1st were people that were not vaccinated. Little himself admitted there are some who won’t get vaccinated under any circumstances, but he had a message for those who are on the fence.

Little kept his focus on education throughout his speech, but he did stress that hospitalizations are rising and the economic gains the state has made could disappear if the virus continues to spread.
