Presentations and discussions about the elected mayor-council and council-city manager forms of city government will take place online during a public Zoom meeting from the Lewiston City Library’s Event Room Thursday evening from 6p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Your City Government–Your Vote information forum is sponsored by The League of Women Voters of the Lewis-Clark Valley and the Lewis Clark Valley Chamber of Commerce.

In November, Lewiston residents will vote on whether to retain its current form of city government with a city manager or change to an elected mayor form without a city manager. Thursday’s event will discuss what’s on the ballot and give a broad overview of both styles of government. Discussions will not focus on the city of Lewiston or candidates, but instead will examine the two types of city government.

The non-partisan event will be carried live on Zoom with Meeting ID: 873 9301 4650 and will be recorded for later playback on the chamber’s Facebook page at facebook.com/lcvalleychamber.

For more information on the event, contact either the LC Valley Chamber of Commerce at govtrelations@lcvalleychamber.org or Cheryl Tousley with the League of Women Voters of the Lewis-Clark Valley at ctousley50@hotmail.com.
