The Idaho State Board of Education is expected to rule today (Thurs) on a recommendation from Governor Brad Little to relax current restrictions on attendance numbers at high school sporting events.
Currently, due to the coronavirus pandemic, two people per student athlete are allowed to attend sporting events.
However, as the spread of the virus has slowed, officials now believe more fans and students may be able to attend contests with masks and social distancing. Gymnasium capacity will likely determine how many fans each school will allow.
The Idaho State Board of Education is expected to meet today (Thurs) to discuss and possibly amend it’s current attendance rules.
