Idaho legislative session gets underway this week

Idaho Governor Brad Little gets the state’s 66th Legislative session underway today (Mon) in Boise when he delivers his annual State of the State Address to lawmakers.

The governor will unveil his proposed budget and what he’d like to see from lawmakers during the session.

Idaho legislators are meeting in person during the session and are expected to target the governor’s emergency powers and the issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

Lawmakers will also work on the state’s K-12 education budget, as well as transportation funding, corrections funding and other state department budgets and issues.
