Holiday Heroes Event Goes Online Due to Pandemic

The annual Holiday Heroes event has become a tradition in Lewiston, at least according to Mike Wigen of the Lewiston Branch of the Idaho Foodbank.

But with the holidays happening in the midst of a pandemic, the event will be going online.

Volunteer groups will then fill grocery bags at the foodbank ahead of time on December 17th, 18th and 19th and Rosauers customers can buy those 20 dollar bags for people in need on that Saturday the 19th. Normally the food bank would have their monthly food distribution on the second Wednesday of the month, which is this coming Wednesday, but that has combined with the Holiday Heroes event. The distribution will take place on Monday, December 21st at 10 am at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds. CLICK HERE TO DONATE.
