The north central Idaho and southeastern Washington region reported 113 new coronavirus cases Thursday.
According to the Public Health – Idaho North Central District, Nez Perce County tied its single-day high for infections with 76. Latah County reported 18 cases, Idaho County added 6, Clearwater County had 10, and Lewis County reported 3 new COVID-19 infections Thursday.
In southeastern Washington, Asotin County reported 10 new cases, Whitman County added 9, and Garfield County reported 2 new coronavirus infections.
Meanwhile, Idaho’s Disaster Medical Advisory Committee is asking Idaho Governor Brad Little to impose a statewide mask mandate, saying it’s the best way to avoid a “crisis” in hospital capacity because of the rising number of coronavirus cases. (Lewiston Tribune)
