Incumbent Washington Governor Jay Inslee appears to have secured a rare third term as the state’s chief executive.  The Democrat currently has a 59 percent to 40 percent lead over Republican challenger Loren Culp.

In the 5th Congressional District U.S. House race, incumbent Republican Cathy McMorris Rodgers appears to have retained her seat as she leads Democrat Dave Wilson by 19 percentage points – 59 percent to 40 percent.

In other state constitutional office races: Denny Heck holds a 47 percent to 33 percent lead over Marko Liias in the Lieutenant Governor’s race.  Incumbent Kim Wyman has a narrow 51 percent to 48 percent lead over challenger Gael Tarleton.  Attorney General Bob Ferguson currently has a 17-percentage point lead over Matt Larkin.  Incumbent Chris Reykdal leads over challenger Maia Espinoza in the Superintendent of Public Instruction race 56 percent to 42 percent.  And in the race for Commissioner of Public Lands, incumbent Hilary Franz holds a commanding 59 percent to 40 percent, Sue Kuehl Pederson.

Larger counties will continue to report results daily, while counties with 75,000 residents or fewer will update vote tallies every three days.
