The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office continues its murder investigation in Elk City.
The Lewiston Tribune reports several people have been interviewed and taken polygraph tests in connection to the death of 62-year-old Leanna Bailey.
Bailey was killed while visiting Elk City to clean out the house of her recently deceased father. Bailey had reportedly been in Elk City for several weeks and had been sleeping in her car. Her manner of death was confirmed by an autopsy report, though the sheriff’s office has declined to release an exact cause.
Sheriff Doug Giddings says investigators have been talking to a number of “persons of interest” with whom Bailey associated, but have not yet singled out a suspect.
