Changing weather conditions allow Asotin County to lift burn ban

Asotin County commissioners have approved a measure lifting an emergency burn ban in unincorporated areas of the county.

Officials say cooler temperatures along with higher humidity and decreased fire danger will allow for recreational fires, however open burning of yard debris doesn’t begin until later this week.

The fall open burning season begins this Thursday and runs through Dec. 15th. County residents can also haul yard debris to the Asotin County Regional Landfill, at no charge. (Asotin County Commission)
