LPD apprehends motorcycle thief after crash

A Lewiston man was arrested after stealing and crashing a motorcycle in the Normal Hill area Monday.

According to the Lewiston Police Department, 34-year-old Victor Tabor was apprehended after crashing into a police vehicle on the Fifth Street Grade near Normal Hill.

The motorcycle had been reported stolen Sunday evening and the owner reported seeing the bike traveling along the Southway Bridge heading into Lewiston.

Law enforcement began their pursuit a short time later before Tabor crashed the motorcyle into a police cruiser.

Tabor was wanted on a felony warrant in Idaho for failure to register as a sex offender. He was charged with grand theft by possession of stolen property, driving without privileges and obstructing law enforcement. (Lewiston Tribune, LPD)
