Idaho U.S. Sen. Crapo to coordinate Senate-wide oversight of CARES Act

Idaho U.S. Senator Mike Crapo has been tasked with coordinating the
chamber-wide oversight of the Congressional rescue package passed by
Congress to help curb some of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that fellow
Republican Crapo will lead and coordinate the Senate’s oversight of
the historic Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act. As
Banking Committee Chairman, Crapo played a critical role in shaping
many of the provisions of the CARES Act designed to provide
significant economic support to severely distressed sectors of the
U.S. economy. Crapo says the legislation has provided critical
lifelines to individuals, families, and businesses across the country
devastated by the pandemic, adding that those same taxpayers need
protection from any forms of waste, fraud or mismanagement. (Idaho
