The Lewiston Transfer Station is now open Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM and closed on Sunday. Only one person per vehicle is allowed on the floor, while all other passengers must remain in the vehicle with windows rolled up, and people are asked to stick to social distancing guidelines of at least 6 feet. Transfer station staff will not be available to assist with dumping, and the station is not accepting any appliances with Freon. Photos will be taken of vehicles’ license plates that may be used to apply for financial reimbursement from FEMA.
