Idaho County has reported its second confirmed case of COVID-19, and health officials say the case appears to be travel-related. Public Health-Idaho North Central District says the individual is in their 40’s, was not hospitalized and is recovering at home. Officials are working to determine reasonable risk criteria for locations visited by the patient and investigate any close contacts. Meanwhile, more COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Idaho’s hardest-hit counties. More than 520 cases have been confirmed statewide as of Tuesday evening, with both Ada and Blaine counties closing in on 200 cases each. Blaine County had 44 more cases reported on Tuesday, and Ada County 30 cases, as those two counties account for nearly three-fourths of the state’s total. Nine deaths have been reported statewide, including 2 in Nez Perce County, which reported no new cases Tuesday. Adams and Camas counties each reported their first case of coronavirus on Tuesday, as COVID-19 has been confirmed in 27 of Idaho’s 44 counties. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare says 66-hundred tests had been completed statewide, about 7-point-9 percent of which have been positive for COVID-19. Of note, 33 Idaho health care workers have tested positive for coronavirus. (Public Health-Idaho North Central District, Idaho Statesman)
