Idaho Governor Brad Little, Secretary of State Lawerence Denney and legislative leaders announced earlier this week that Idaho’s primary election will remain on May 19 and the election will be conducted by mail pursuant to the existing laws for absentee voting due to concerns about the spread of coronavirus.

Secretary Denney says all Idaho voters will receive information on mail-in voting in the coming weeks.

Additionally, Denney says voters will not be required to cover the postage when returning their ballots.

Idaho’s Primary Election will be May 19th and officials say results will begin to be posted on June 2nd.

Same day registration will still be available, but only online. Same day registrations will not be subject to the 8pm voting deadline on May 19th, and instead will have a two-week window to return ballots.
