Lewiston closes playgrounds due to COVID-19 concerns; LC valley hospitals prohibit visitors

temporarily-closed

All playgrounds and play areas within Lewiston city parks are now closed. While the emergency order issued by City Manager Alan Nygaard closes the playgrounds and play areas, the parks themselves remain open, while people still adhere to social distancing requirements.

The Lewiston School District has also indicated it will be closing their playgrounds and play structures located on School District property.

Meanwhile, visitors will not be permitted at Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston or St Josephe Regional Medical Center in Lewiston until further notice to ensure the safety of patients, providers, employees and the community.

Some exceptions may apply for pediatric and obstetric patients, and those receiving end-of-life care. (City of Lewiston, Lewiston Tribune)
