Idaho County has reported its first confirmed case of COVID-19.
According to the Public Health – Idaho North Central District, an adult in their 70’s tested positive following a visit with local health care providers.
The investigation into the case is in the preliminary stages, and the patient remains hospitalized.
Epidemiologists will work to determine “reasonable risk criteria” for locations visited by the patient and any close contacts of the patient who were possibly exposed.
It’s the second confirmed case of COVID-19 in the health district. The first was found in a person in Nez Perce County, and was announced Tuesday evening. (Lewiston Tribune)
