Washington campgrounds closed through April 30th

temporarily-closed

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Department of Natural Resources are closing all state campgrounds to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Campgrounds will remain closed through at least April 30th.

As of Monday, no new campers will be allowed into parks, or agency lands lands, and current campers will be phased out following instructions from land officials. The closure includes roofed accommodations like cabins and yurts.

Day-use areas and trails remain open, though officials recommend the public avoid ocean beaches due to the volume of people visiting those areas.

Campers who have state parks reservations through April 30th will be notified and offered a full refund.

Although camping is not allowed, Fish and Wildlife areas and water access areas remain open for public use at this time. (Washington DNR)
