In the interest of public health, the City of Lewiston is temporarily closing all city facilities to public access until further notice. The closure is effective Friday, though city services will still be available by phone, online, and by mail. City staff will report to their work locations as usual. Closed city facilities include City Hall, Community Center, Lewiston City Library, Community Development, Public Works, and the Fire Administration Building. Monday’s City Council meeting will proceed as scheduled, but the number of people allowed in the meeting space will be limited. All Parks and Recreation programs, with the exception of the Senior Nutrition Program via drive-through and pick up only, Co-Ed Volleyball League, and Mush Softball League, are postponed or canceled, as are all library programs. Lewiston Transit services will continue until further notice, and the Lewiston Transfer Station remains open. While the police and fire station entrances will be locked, staff can be contacted by intercom located at the main doors.  (City of Lewiston)
