Idaho officials have suspended spring sports for high school student-athletes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Idaho High School Activities Association on Monday put activities on hold now through April 5th after consulting with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, along with superintendents and athletic directors around the state. Association executive director Ty Jones says officials will reassess which direction to go as far as spring sports when the three-week period is up. Schools are not allowed to conduct any organized activities during the period, though kids can continue to work out on their own and are being encouraged to do so. (Lewiston Tribune)
