A Kamiah man has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the 2018 killing of a Clarkston woman. 25-year-old Cole Marcell entered his plea in Nez Perce County 2nd District Court Monday as one of three people involved in the death of Sarah Warden. Authorities say Marcell and the two other suspects killed Warden as part of a scheme to steal her $800 social security check. They drove Warden from Clarkston to Waha and killed her, dumping her body near Winchester. Marcell faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced later this year. Meanwhile, Gabriel Mattingly will spend five to 15 years in prison for concealing the killing, while Amanda Jones was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison after pleading to second-degree murder.
