Warrior Weekend Recap

Women’s Basketball:

Jamie Nielson picked up where she left off on Thursday, dropping 21 points in Saturday’s 69-47 victory over Montana-State Northern. Kiara Burlage also scored 21 points, and Abbie Johnson pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds.

The Warriors travel to Montana Tech on Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. PT tipoff in Butte, Montana.

Men’s Basketball:

For the second-straight game, the No. 5 Lewis-Clark State Men’s Basketball team had to play catch-up after trailing in the second half. Double-doubles from Trystan Bradley and Jake Albright helped the Warriors get the job done in the 64-57 victory over Montana State-Northern.

The Warriors travel to Montana Tech on Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. PT tipoff in Butte, Montana.

Track & Field:

Lewis-Clark Track and Field returned to Boise this weekend and had a strong showing at the Boise State Challenge indoor meet. The Warriors had two relay teams qualify for the national meet in the final meet of the regular season.

On Friday, the men’s distance medley relay team of Dillon Dawson, Bryan Carter, Cameron Preston, and Clayton VanDyke hit a qualifying national standard (10:16.93) and won the event at the meet. The women’s 4x400m relay quartet of Karlie Smith, McKinley Litton, Ashley Britt, and Rebekka Kalmbach qualified for the national meet on Saturday with a time of 3:59.62.

Baseball:

No. 19 Warrior Baseball completed the three-game sweep of NCAA DII Concordia (Ore.) on Sunday with an 11-3 victory. Luke White sent a three-run bomb to center in the first inning to fire up the offense. Freshman Alec Holmes put together a strong start for LC State, striking out seven in four and two thirds.

The Warriors host their home opener on Friday at 2 p.m. against British Columbia.
