Idaho County officials have confirmed the identity of a body discovered along the Salmon River last month as John French of Boise.
The 54-year old man was last seen in June of 2017.
The Idaho County Coroner says French was positively identified using dental records.
French was reported missing by his family during a fishing trip to Riggins. Following an investigation, deputies believed French crashed into the Salmon River along U.S. Highway 95 at near milepost 201.
Human hand bones were discovered along the bank of the river near Pealy Loop Road near milepost 220 by a woman on Jan. 5. (Lewiston Tribune)
