The Lewis-Clark State Men’s Basketball Team moved to 21-1 on the season and 9-1 in Frontier Conference play after road wins at MSU-Northern and No. 8 Providence last weekend. Both wins came in dominating fashion and earned the team National Association of Basketball Coaches NAIA Team of the Week honors.
The Warriors held MSU-Northern to 33.3-percent shooting in the 56-45 victory on Friday, and then made 16 3-pointers in a dominant 96-65 win over the Argos on Saturday. LC held both opponents to season lows in point totals and are the only team to sweep the MSU-N/Providence road trip.
LC State currently leads the NAIA DI in scoring defense per game, 3-point field goal percentage defense and 3-point field goal percentage. It is in the top five in eight other categories and leads the conference in nearly every statistic as a team.
