Former Washington State University men’s basketball star Klay Thompson has his number retired on Saturday.
Thompson’s Number 1 jersey will be retired during halftime of the Cougars’ game against Oregon State in Pullman.
Thompson, who played at WSU from 2008 to 2011, has been an NBA all-star guard with the Golden State Warriors, helping them to three championships. His Warrior teammate and two-time MVP Stephen Curry will reportedly be on scene for Thompson’s celebration.
Thompson has yet to play this NBA season due to an ACL injury, while Curry is out at least another month with a broken hand. (Lewiston Tribune)
