
Idaho’s unemployment rate held steady at 2.9 percent in November.
The state’s labor force climbed 2,000 people last month to nearly 887,000, while the percentage of people age 16 years or older working or looking for work remained unchanged at 64 percent.
Eight of Idaho’s eleven industry sectors met or exceeded seasonal expectations. The largest over-the-month increases for November were other services, and information.
Three sectors fell short of seasonal expectations – natural resources, manufacturing, and construction.
The unemployment rate for Nez Perce County was 2.6 percent; Latah County 2.8 percent; Clearwater County 6.1 percent; Lewis County 5.6 percent; and Idaho County 4.2 percent. (Idaho Department of Labor)
