LC women overcome slow start, down Walla Walla

The 12th ranked Lewis-Clark State women’s basketball team overcame a slow start to beat Walla Walla University 65-48 Thursday night at the Activity Center.

Senior Jamie Nielson led a balanced Warrior attack with 9 points and junior point guard Peyton Souvenir added 8 points, 6 assists and four steals in the win.

LC improves to 7-2, while Walla Walla drops to 2-8.

The Warriors wrap up the non-conference schedule with a pair of games Monday and Tuesday at home against Maine – Fort Kent at the Activity Center. Tip-off both nights is at 5:30pm with coverage on AM 950 KOZE and online at
