Idaho legislative Democrats have new leadership in the state House.
Democratic lawmakers on Tuesday elected Boise Representative Ilana Rubel as the new House Minority Leader following last week’s resignation of former House Democratic Leader Mat Erpelding who left to join the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce. Rubel ran unopposed for the position.
In a contested race, Representative John McCrostie, of Garden City, was elected assistant Democratic leader over Boise Representative Melissa Wintrow.
