An Asotin County judge facing rape and assault charges will not seek a change of venue for his trial next year.
Scott Gallina has opted to stand trial in Asotin County on charges of second-degree rape, indecent liberties, and fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation based on allegations of workplace sexual misconduct. The alleged crimes reportedly took place in the last two years, involving three women who worked with Gallina at the Asotin County Courthouse.
Gallina has pleaded not guilty and has been on paid leave since his arrest in April. A jury trial is set for March 9th with Spokane County Judge Michael Price presiding. (Lewiston Tribune)
