Two Lewiston elementary students were among the winners of the Idaho State Board of Education’s holiday card art contest.

More than 700 entries were submitted by students in kindergarten through sixth grade throughout Idaho.

Winners were chosen for each grade, and third grade honors went to Kaelynn Simmons of Whitman Elementary, while the fourth grade winner was Elle Walker of McSorley Elementary.

The overall winner was the design by Bonneville County fifth-grader Lily Wayment of American Heritage Charter School in Idaho Falls.

All of the winning artwork can be viewed on the Idaho State Department of Education website. (Idaho State Dept. of Education)
