LCSC seeks beer sales at NAIA World Series

Lewis-Clark State College is asking the Idaho State Board of Education to allow beer sales at the 2020 Avista NAIA World Series.

The state board this week will consider granting LCSC a partial waiver to one of its policies, which would allow for a “pilot beer garden” in the multi-use field directly across Sixth Street from Harris Field.

Should the item be approved, the sale and consumption of beer would be limited to the fenced off area and would not be allowed in the stands.

The proceeds from alcohol sales could support LCSC athletics and current Title 9 initiatives at the college.

LCSC has a contract with the NAIA to host the World Series through 2024. (Lewiston Tribune)
