LC President Pemberton to give progress report during SBOE meeting Wed

Lewis-Clark State College President Cynthia Pemberton will give the college’s annual progress report to the Idaho State Board of Education on Wednesday during the board’s two-day meeting at the LC State Williams Conference Center in Lewiston.

Pemberton will give the board an update on college initiatives, enrollment, the new Schweitzer Career & Technical Education Center, and other items during her presentation, which will take place sometime between 10:15 a.m. and noon. During this session there will also be an LC State Community Forum where members of the public are invited to speak. Both the forum and Pemberton’s presentation are free and open to all.

The board kicks off its meeting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and will continue on Thursday starting at 8 a.m.

Among other agenda items, the board will consider a temporary rule outlining requirements for school districts and charter schools to report student enrollments and full-time equivalencies, hear information pertaining to the update to the existing literacy growth targets, and consider amending board policy to require institutions to prioritize programs using evaluation criteria and specific reporting requirements.
