LC cross country teams climb in national rankings

With another strong performance under their belts, both Lewis-Clark State cross country teams moved up in the national polls.  The men jumped one spot to No. 9, while the women saw their rankings rise three spots to No. 13.

Both Warrior teams posted impressive finishes at the highly competitive Master’s Invitational in Southern California on Saturday. Emily Adams (18:03.0) paced the women with a fourth-place finish to lead the Warriors to a fifth-place finish, the best among NAIA teams.  Cole Olsen (25:16.1) led the Warrior men to a fourth-place team finish after placing ninth individually.

LC State hosts the Inland Empire Championships in Lewiston on Oct. 12.  It is the last regular-season meet for the Warriors before they head to the Frontier Conference Championships in Billings, Mont. on Nov. 8.

NAIA Cross Country Nationals will take place in Vancouver, Wash. on Nov. 22. (Lewis-Clark State Athletics)
